According to yoga and ayurveda everything is made up by a unique combination of five elements (the pancha mahabhutas). Us (our bodies and mind), the food we eat, the oil we use for massage, everything in nature…

When the elements are in balance in that specific combination which is unique to you, your partner, pet etc then we feel balanced, happy and healthy. But if a disturbance has happened we are prone to illness, imbalance, mood swings…
In ayurveda the goal is to stay true to our unique constitution. This is what is referred to as Prakruti.
Listen to your body, emotions and mental chatter. To your cravings and how they make you feel. If we are balanced our body will tell us exactly what we need right now.
