Welcome
I'm Anja, yoga teacher and educator for 20+ years, Ayurvedic practitioner (BSc, PGDip), and author of Teaching Yoga for the Menstrual Cycle: an Āyurvedic Approach.
I trained clinically in Ayurvedic hospitals in India and have been weaving these two traditions together ever since
Why Ayurveda changed my teaching
For me, Ayurveda was the missing piece in the puzzle when it came to my yoga practice and teaching yoga classes.
It made me understand how and why yoga works, how to adapt, and understand qualities, rhythm, digestion, energy, and individuality.
When yoga is taught and practised with this framework, it becomes adaptable, intelligent, and deeply supportive of real people in real lives.
This is what the Ayurveda: The Sister Science of Yoga course and my classes are built on.
